St. Andrew's Housing Group

Because Everyone Needs an Affordable Place to Call Home!

Highland GardensSt. Andrew's Housing Group is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with limited income on King County’s Eastside, empowering these families to succeed by providing housing and access to services while strengthening local communities and encouraging diversity.

Our Vision

St. Andrew's Housing Group will dramatically increase the affordable housing supply in every community it serves, be recognized as an innovator in the housing field, and successfully support each individual and family who calls our properties home  We are working to help create an inviting East King County where families and individuals can choose to live regardless of income level:

  • Teachers, service professionals and minimum wage earners are able to live in the same cities in which they work.
  • Seniors need not leave their historic living locations simply because funds are limited or fixed.
  • People who were once homeless can find permanently affordable housing and supportive services through providers that are committed to their successful transition into lives of independence and financial viability.

SAHG Welcomes a New Executive Director!

It is with excitement and pride that we announce the new Executive Director at St. Andrew’s Housing Group:  Ann Levine!  Ann joins us after being an active volunteer for SAHG, particularly with the Advocacy and Resident Services Committees, and she comes with an impressive background in both housing and leadership.

A graduate of UCLA and UC Hastings College of the Law, Ann Levine has devoted her professional life to addressing issues of housing and homelessness.  Ann has ten years of experience as a housing and disability rights attorney in California and as a former staff attorney and co-director of Mental Health Advocacy Project (MHAP) in Northern California she has represented over 1,000 clients and has led systemic reform efforts with a primary focus on fair housing.  While at MHAP, Ann was instrumental in forging collaborative partnerships with other local housing and service providers to develop regional standards for shelters and transitional housing.  Ann also brings strong experience with fundraising and outcome measurement.  Following her work with MHAP, Ann managed the funding process, led outcome measurement activities and facilitated convening and advocacy activities for United Way of Sonoma-Mendocino-Lake in Northern California.

Once Ann relocated to Washington a few years ago, she coordinated community building activities for the Seattle Housing Authority and then launched her own consulting company.  As a consultant, Ann has exclusively worked with nonprofits and foundations throughout Washington and California, including YWCA of Seattle · King County · Snohomish County, Corporation for Supportive Housing, and Community Foundation Sonoma County.  Her consulting projects have focused primarily on expanding the supply of affordable housing, coordinating and advancing efforts to end homelessness, and increasing housing providers’ awareness of and compliance with fair housing laws.

Ann is devoted to SAHG’s mission and to the strategic direction of the organization and already has many ideas about how to carry us into the future.  As we move into 2009, we as a board and staff are confident that Ann has the vision, passion, experience and ability to successfully lead SAHG into the future as a premier provider of affordable housing on the Eastside!
