Executive Director

SAHG's Board of Directors seeks an Executive Director with a commitment to affordable housing and experience growing a for-profit or nonprofit organization.

The ideal canidate will have experience and expertise in leadership, communication, management, fiscal oversight and board relations.

Major Duties

The primary duties of SAHG's Executive Director are to lead both strategic and operational planning for the agency; develop strategic partnerships for program innovations and funding; clearly communication SAHG's mission, vision and strategic goals; direct and supervise members of SAHG's management team; oversee and manage the annual agency budget; cultivate and maintain stron working relationships with SAHG's Board of Directors; and, in collaboration with the Board, create a strategic vision for the agency.

 

Position Requirements

  • 5-7 years of progressive management experience, including at least 3-5 years in an Executive Director or senior management capacity.
  • Experience with at least two of the following programs and functions is required: commercial or residential real estate development, affordable housing development, portfolio and investment management, property and/or asset management and community land use and/or economic development, housing advocacy and/or resident services
  • Knowledge of local, state and national policy, issues and best practices regarding community re-development and affordable housing.
  • Experience with supportive services delivery related to individuals utilizing affordable housing.

  • Experience in executive management or volunteer leadership of a nonprofit agency.

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree plus commensurate experience.

Director of Resident Services

SAHG is currently in the process of implementing a major resident services effort that will result in the expansion of existing services and the development of major new resident service programs for the entire SAHG housing portfolio and future projects. The Director of Resident Services is a new position at SAHG that will offer a tremendous opportunity for the right person to join our highly committed staff team and an eighteen-member board of directors in creating a vibrant and effective service continuum.

Major Duties

The primary functions of the Resident Services Director position are to provide overall program planning, administrative management and supervision of agency and/or subcontracted resident service programs for SAHG’s properties; develop new programs and enhance existing programs based on agency needs and the strategic direction set by SAHG’s Board of Directors; provide management, supervision and training of staff, students and volunteers needed to operate and maintain resident services programs in SAHG’s housing projects; develop and execute a resident services program plan, budgets, staffing plan, and grants plan; and closely monitor revenue, expenses, program performance and outcomes to ensure that program goals are achieved.

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a human services field.  Masters degree in social work, counseling or a related human services field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in delivering resident services or other social services programs.
  • A minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in program management and program development, including budgeting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with grant writing and reporting
