Francis Village - Now Complete

It is with such enthusiasm that we announce the completion of Francis Village.  Residents are busy moving into this new community and we are looking forward to hosting a community-wide Grand Opening Celebration on Monday, March 12th from 10:00 am - Noon.

Francis Village is Imagine Housing’s 12th affordable housing project comprised of 60 apartment homes and abundant community space in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland.  Imagine Housing has collaborated with local service providers to provide supportive services and case management to Francis Village residents, with Imagine Housing’s own internal Supportive Services Program providing supplemental services to residents.  In fact, at Francis Village, 16 apartments have been set aside for Friends of Youth, who will place clients between the ages of 18-24 into our permanent housing.  Congregations for the Homeless, an organization that works with homeless men, has 7 apartments dedicated to their clients, and the Veterans Administration has an additional 10 apartments specifically for formerly homeless veterans.  Each of these service providers will place their residents into housing and provide ongoing case management to help their clients maintain permanent stability.

Another important component of Francis Village is the community’s focus on sustainability.  At Francis Village, Imagine Housing is building in measures that will help future residents understand how the day to day choices they make in their homes can impact their lives and their community.  Current plans of Francis Village include a roof top garden; rain planters that allow rain runoff to percolate through vegetation and filter out pollutants; and low voltage lighting.
